DD + daycare = FAIL! (VENT)

My MIL watches DD during the week while we work. My DH works 4 10hr days and I get a week day off so she ends up only going sometimes 3 days. Every time she goes she is SUPER cranky until we get her to go to sleep for the night. I mentioned this morning to my MIL that I think she is getting overtired and that she was fine all day yesterday and napped well (and a lot) for me. Today when picking her up MIL says "She was much better today (not cranky) and slept a little in the swing". Now she has been screaming off and on for the past few hours! She won't take a nap and nothing is making her happy. I am so frustrated! She is 8 weeks old and needs a lot of naps!! I know that my MIL and FIL aren't putting her down like the other kids and letting her rest. In fact, they thought it was funny that while taking her picture sleeping/sucking her thumb in the swing woke her up!

    How awful! My mom watches LO, and I told her to do whatever it took to help DD sleep as much as possible. Babies this age shouldn't be awake more than an hour or two at a time - ours gets sleepy after just one hour. My mom loves to hold DD, so I said it was fine to hold her while she slept but not to keep her awake. My mom's been wonderful about that.

    Also, I had mom start keeping a log of when LO went to sleep and how long she slept - maybe you can do the same?

    That sucks. MIL was here the other night and DS was sleeping and she said "Well you don't want him to sleep too long." Lady, an hour nap is NOT LONG, especially when 10 min. before she got here he was screaming his brains out from being overtired. I swear people come over, he sleeps. They leave, he screams! If they didn't drive me crazy, I'd have the IL's over all the time.
