ideas needed plz - christening decorations

We have LO's Christening coming up in November. We are having a party afterwards at a restaurant, so in order for it not to look too blah, I would like to have some sort of centerpiece. I am not too creative, any ideas?

A bunch of fresh flowers always looks lovely. We used flowers & fabric bunting for DD baptism & it looked great.

We're doing the same thing this weekend. I ended up doing a vase with flowers,a picture to match the Noah's ark theme and a couple of balloons (as much as I hate balloons for "nicer" parties.
