What to do for Thing 1 & 2 hair?

I was bidding on a 2 set of blue wigs but was outbid. They sold for $30 and I didnt want to pay that much.

So, dh doesnt want me to spray their hair because he is afraid it wont wash out. The only wigs I find are ugly or dont come in child size. So anyone have any ideas?

Spray it, it will wash out. OR, find some ugly wigs, your going to cut/and spray them most likely anyway...

I saw a DIY costume where they used blue boas. I think it was on etsy. They must have sewed them onto a beanie or something. It looked really cute.
