Were you told you needed to be bedridden Or couch ridden for 2 days after ET?? My RE's website says you can go about your normal routine after it but i thought they wanted you to be pretty much on bedrest.
My RE says to take it easy for 2 days after. Meaning laying around as much as possible. I have been pretty strict on myself this time around in hopes that it will help. I also took 2 extra days from work to stay as stress free as I could. Tomorrow I will move around more normally but no heavy lifting or anything like that.

No, my RE actually told me I could go back to work and didn't need any bed rest at all. I did stay home that day and took it easy, just to make myself feel better. But I did have to run an errand or two, so I wasn't in bed all day. I went back to work the next day.
Yes, my RE says bedrest is mandatory-I can't even work from home during this time because of the stress level. If I have a 3 day transfer, it's 5 days. 5 day transfer it's 3 days. We shall see next week which one it is!

My doctor said that the studies publsihed show that bedrest does not affect the outcome. Over and over, the studies debunk the theory that bedrest matters.
So for my first 3 IUI's and 1 IVF, I went about my regular business and all were BFN. My second IVF I did self-imposed "house rest". Not as strict as bed rest but for the first few days just I just sat around, watched movies, and relaxed. That one resulted in my BFP and DS.
So, the studies may not support it, but I"m not messing with the streak!! Each time we do something now (just did IUI for #2), I did a self-imposed rest.
3 IUI's and 2 IVF's later- Brady arrived. Born at 36 weeks after PUPPS and pre-e/HELLP.
IUI- BFN IVF #1 -BFP! Allie is our 2nd IVF baby. Born at 36 1/2 weeks after pre-e again
My RE does not have any bed rest requirements. Just no lifting > 10 lbs, no physical activity, no intercourse, etc. I went back to work the same day my 1st cycle, but I think I'm going to follow pp advice and do self imposed house rest - hopefully this will lead to BFP this time.
Re: Bed rest after ET?
My RE only requires bed rest the day of transfer. After that you are put on limited activity (no running, lifting anything over 10 pounds, etc).
Bed rest really varies from RE to RE.
My Re wants 72 hours. I'm not sure I'll be able to manage it...
I can do 72 hours of taking it easy, but 72 hours in bed.... yikes. I'm tempted to go spend money I don't have on a laptop so I'll be entertained.

My first RE recommended 72 hours of bed/ couch rest. I have a different RE now and we haven't discussed it yet.
Good luck!
They tell you to take it easy the rest of the day and then go about your reg routine starting the next day.
The reality is once they are in, they're in, they can't fall out, they will either hatch and implant or not, hopefully of course the first!!!!
