When did you build your crib?

Ours came yesterday and I am very anxious to build it, although we are still waiting on the bedding. Hubby is being lazy says it's too early, but I want to build today.

I assembled our stroller the other day (put the wheels on and stuff) and collapsed it down into the travel bag and in the closet. I just want everything out of it's box and ready to go.

I want to install my car seat too! (The base at least)

Am I crazy??

We got our furniture last weekend and it's still in the box in the garage and it will most likely stay there until late november early december.

I've been waiting for DH to build our crib for a while. I've already had 3 showers, #4 is tomorrow and #5 is in a few weeks, so that room is just filled with baby stuff. I really want him to build the crib so I can set that up with the bedding and maybe us the crib to get other stuff off of the floor.

We have not installed our seat bases yet, and just put the crib together a couple of weeks ago. But I'm probably still in denial that I'm going to have a baby soon.

Not IMO....Our crib has been put together since we got it in July....yup...long time now and still a ways to go! lol

I used the whole, 'we need to make sure its structurally safe for baby' to get hubby on board right away. I told him if there is any damage we would need the time to replace it or get replacement pcs...Think that might work on your guy?

Our crib was delivered and assembled 30 minutes ago-and I already looking forward to the next step. My mom purchased the bedding for a shower gift. I'm on my way out the door to buy a mattress.

Call me crazy, but our stroller was assembled and had it's maiden voyage around the dining room a month ago.

We have had our crib up since July 4th weekend. I really wanted to get the nursery painted and ready, and it was raining then, so we did it! We just got our carseat too, and I want to install it, but I think DH will think I'm crazy. I don't think you're crazy, if you want to do it, go ahead!

Last weekend! We've had it for months, but since it's in our bedroom for now it felt a little weird to have it up and empty.

I had mine set up prob at 25 weeks, but because we moved it out of our 2 year olds room.

We put our crib together as soon as we got it. About two weeks ago. I wanted to make sure the furniture didn't have any big scratches or anything so it was easier just to put it together. We don't have the stroller or car seat yet so getting the room painted and putting the furniture is all we've done as of now.

We've had our crib up since I was 21 weeks--put it up the day it arrived!

I'm itching to put something together, too. I keep telling myself that there's no reason to put together the swing that's in the closet...though I desperately want to!

I have a serious lack of patience.

I say put it together now and then when you get the bedding you can wash it and put that in. The less you have to do later, the better. We got our crib when I was about 18 weeks, maybe a little sooner even and we put it together the day we got it. We just got our mattress a few weeks ago and now we are just waiting for our shower next weekend to put the bedding in it. I plan to set everything up that we will be using when LO is born as soon as we get it so it's all ready to go.. partially because I am too excited to let it sit in a box!

Ours sat in the box for a couple of weeks. We put it together 2 weeks ago because we have very limited space and needed to get the boxes out.

We just bought our stuff last weekend, DH picked it up Tuesday and tonight he just put the crib and cabinet thing together; tomorrow he's doing the dresser whether he likes it or not! I'm anxious to put baby stuff away properly.

I say go for it!

Dh assembled the crib around 33 weeks, but we didnt buy the mattress and stuff until 34 weeks. We just started putting together the other stuff - so far we have the stroller put together (so our dogs will get used to it).

I built our crib around 25 weeks, as soon as it was brought into the house. Dh was busy with something else and I like putting furniture together (lots of practice from Ikea stuff) so I just did it.

Ours should be here any day and will be assembled by the delivery guy. Dh is thrilled about that!

Ours just got put together this morning! We got new carpet installed in the nursery yesterday and now all the furniture is up there and I can officially start putting baby things away.....YAY!!

Ours is still in the box with everything we've bought piled up on top of it. Hopefully it will magically set itself up one day!

Our nursery is still an office. We have a lot to do before we can set a crib up. I hope to have it mostly done by Thanksgiving.

My husband put it together the day we got it. I think it was around 20 weeks. I wanted to make sure it was in good condition and not damaged, had all the pieces, etc. in case I needed to send it back or something.

Ours is due to be delivered on Tuesday, and we will most likely set it up before the weekend. We want the baby`s room to be done for Sunday because our family is coming over for Thanksgiving.

we put up our crib at least a month ago, but we don't have a stroller or carseat yet. we are getting them through DH's dad, who works for graco, so here's hoping he gets on that and she doesn't come really early! I have already cleaned everything else we have though (swing, bouncer, exersaucer), so no I don't think you're crazy. you have to be prepared!

As soon as we got it. We wanted to make sure all the parts were there and it wasn't damaged in any way.

As for the car seat, we just did this afternoon! I needed to switch DD#1's car seat over to the other side of the car (RF doesn't fit behind the drivers side w/out my knees being in the dash) and clean out the inside of the car first... that's why we waited so long Otherwise I probably would have done it a week or 2 ago, just in case.
