Formula question

How much formula are / were you feeding your LO at 4 weeks.  My DS always seems hungry even after we feed him so we upped the amount.  The pediatrician side eyed me when I told him he was already at 3.5 - 4 oz every 3 hours.  I have heard from so many other mothers that every baby is different and if there hungry feed them...so I do.  He doesn't throw up, maybe spits up once in a while and I just burp him more.  I know he's hungry because he's routing and sucking on his hands and fingers.  I just feel confused about this whole thing. TIA

    to be honest I don't remember how much she was drinking but it was A LOT compared to other babies. We kept track for the 1st week and then gave up. She eats when she's hungry till she's full then sleeps when she's tired till she wakes up. At every appt they ask how much she's drinking and we never really know.

    DS was around 3.5 oz at that age. ?You should do what is right for your LO. ?Every baby is different and your pedi should know that. ?It is a confusing time, but do what you think is best.

    Thank you that makes me feel better already.  I know that pedi don't want mothers to "over feed" there LO, but if he's still hungry and doing fine with keeping it down then I feel better feeding him.  Thanks everyone :)

    thats how much my son is eating. he's been eating that much since he was about the same age as your LO. my pedi said just to feed on demand

    I got the same look. Hannah at 4oz the week I brought her home. She currently eats 4-7 oz at a time.  She was almost 10lbs born and not diabetic (I gained 30lbs and was average built).  Don't worry, feed your baby if he's hungry.
