I don't know enough about rating embies to know how good these numbers are. I mean, I know what they stand for, but I don't know how they compare to the world of embies as a whole. Really struggling with the decision to do a FET when even a fresh cycle with a supposedly perfect embie failed....
5AA?> Transferred- BFN
5AA?> Frozen
4AA?> Frozen
4AA?> Frozen
4AB?> Frozen
4BB?> Frozen
4BB?> Frozen?
3BB?> Frozen
Re: How good are my frosty tots?
3 = blast
4 = expanded blast
5 = fully expanded blast
1st letter = embie quality
2nd letter = placenta quality
A = excellent
B = good
You have a whole bunch of very good quality embies there.
This. I would be VERY excited if I had this many good quality embies on ice.
I failed to mention that blasts rated as 5 are usually in some stage of hatching. Which means that, assuming it thaws well, by the time that 5AA is back inside you, it will likely be a fully hatched blast ready to snuggle right into your lining.
And ditto LCB 1000 times over. Just for comparison's sake, in my first cycle my very BEST embie was only a 4BB. And from my second cycle I have two frozen embies, which were the best of the batch, and they are a 3AB and a 5AB. To have that many, that high quality embies frozen is practically unheard of except in donor cycles. You are uber lucky.
Thanks so much for this ladies. This was exactly the kind of comparison they need to hear. I know the 5AA is hatching, for instance, and what the letters meant and all that, but I didn't know what that meant in terms of quality. Like were they pretty selective in their freezing, or did I freeze a bunch of losers? Glad to hear they're looking pretty good. Fingers crossed you guys have some good ones to freeze in your next rounds (without looking at siggies I'm not sure where you're at) Better yet, here's hoping the perfect embies just snuggle in!
