QOTD: Who will be in the delivery room with you on "labor day"?
Stacia: Just DH. I put my foot down when it comes to other people seeing my hoo-ha up close and personally. My family will be in Texas and unable to attend, and I certainly don't want my in-laws in the room with me!
Re: Jingle Bellies Wednesday check-in
DH that's it. And he's only allowed by my head. He scares easily.
Just the spouse and my mom.
Sign me up!
My hubby will be there and maybe my oldest sister who is one of my besties! THATS IT! I dont want everyone seeing me sweat and my va jay jay all vulnerable!
DH only!
Dh really wants his mom to be there and my mom. I have reservations, so what I have said is everyone can be at the hospital but until I know how I am feeling in the actual moment I am not promising anyone access to my hoo-haa other than the DR.
On a side note my MIL offered to cut the umbilical cord...which I felt like was weird.
I haven't completely decided. My DH will definitely be there-probably near my head. My mom (also a nurse) asked me if I wanted her in there but I haven't given her an answer yet. On the one hand, I want her there because she is my mom and also will understand what is going on, on the other hand, I don't want my MIL in there and am worried that she will want to be if my mom is. I just don't want to have the conversation about why no to MIL and yes to my mom, so I keep putting off the decision. I have some time, right?
Also, thank you to my secret elf! I posted earlier today, but don't know if she saw. I got some adorable onesies and a fleece outfit-football themed and super cute! I tried to post a pic but the site is blocked at work.
Sorry this post is so long!
Just DH since it's a c-section.
If I had a vag birth I would have invited my mom and a girl friend of mine who's son's birth I was in the room for along with DH.
When I asked my mom if she wanted to be there for DSs birth she told me "it's not a party" But I think when it came down to it if she couldn't be in there she would have been upset. But I had to have a c-section.
DH and the medical staff...my take on other people being in there is this...
If you weren't there when we made this baby, you don't need to be there when he comes out!
That is weird. I thought that was the job for the dad.
I will have my DH and my mom.
Just DH. My rule of thumb is only those who were there for conception get to be there for the birth.
One of the perks of having family far away is I don't have to fight this battle.

My husband and Sister.. I was there for her delivery, and I think my husband will need the support.. LOL
Um thats totally weird but something I would expect to her from mine! Did you tell her DH is gonna do this because thats what the DADS do. so weird lol
My DH and maybe my Mom. My Mom was there for DD and was an amazing coach through the entire process! Dh is a paramedic so im sure he wont mind the whole labor process but I kinda want my mom in there lol Other than the two of them I told DH NO ONE ELSE is allowed including MIL, feelings hurt or not its my va jay jay lol

Just DH.
MIL has asked about being in the room, to which we responded with a huge "hellll nah!"
