After a failed attempt with Mirena, I decided not to go on anything. What's your reasoning to not go on anything?

I have a funky uterus so no IUD's for me. I really just don't want to be on any hormones right now. I've had enough ya know!!?? I'm thinking about just using a spermicide gel or something.

Not on BC because it took so long to get pregnant with DS, we'd make it work if we got pregnant with #2 earlier than planned.

my sister developed multiple blood clots in the veins in her head and they are 99% sure it was from BC so I was advised not to take it...DH is getting a vasectomy as we have our two girls and our family is complete...til then it is condoms...

My Dr wouldn't give me Mirena. She said it was too expensive and too much trouble if I wanted to a have a baby again in the next few years. I EBF and the I swear my supply dropped when I started the mini pill, so I stopped it. Even after BF, I don't know if I will go back on it though. Pre-pregnancy, I was having menopausal type symptoms for about a year and when I was tested, my estrogen was really low. When I stopped the pill everything went back to normal. Of course, the one time we thought we would throw caution to the wind and didn't use a condom, we ended up with DD. I don't know if it was luck (because shes the most wonderful opps you could ever wish for) or we are super fertile, so we won't be doing that again until we are ready for #2.

Since I've been married (3 years) I have not been on any BC and it took 2 1/2 years to conceive so that's my big reason for not going on any.

I messed up my pills last month (didn't have to POAS), but decided that I'd just stay off them since we were going to TTC when DS was 6 month anyway and are fine if it happens a little sooner.

I'm not. I feel like I'm too old to go back on BC and with DH's and my fertility isues, why bother.

We don't care if I get PG?

Also, I had to do fertility treatments (even though DS was a suprise!), so we don't have a lot of faith that I'll get PG w/out intervention anyway.

Same reason here. I was on BCP for 7 years and off for 2 years before we conceived. Don't know if it was related but figured why bother.

Me! I was going to get Paragard, but when I called to make the appointment, the nurse said I had to have had my first period to get it, which hasn't happened yet. I don't really want to take anything hormonal, so we're just using condoms right now.

I'm EP so cannot go on regular BC and I don't trust the effectiveness of the mini-pill so for now we are using condoms. It sucks!

Honestly I hate women's bc. The harmones kill me, and that is even with a low dose pill. I was on the pill when I got prego. My doc advised me not to get on BC because of my history with it and the fact that I am BF. DH and I use condoms. Even if we get prego with #2, we'll make work.

I go bsc on hormonal birth control. I used the nuva ring for 3 months and I was no fun. Dh says no to having a crazy wife.

I agree to no hormones too...will do condoms for a little bit until I decide what to do. I was on the pill for so long and my libido was shot until I got off so I don't want to go through that especially since that is an issue we are having.

I am not a fan of BC in the first place. I distrust messing the balance of hormones and never liked how I felt when I did try a couple of different options. Plus we BF and don't want to expose C to it. If that wasn't enough, my grandmother on my mothers side died of a blood clot directly related to her BC and no she was not a smoker. So I will never be on BC again, we use condoms and it works just fine Big Smile
