I'm starting to shop around for ours and I don't even know where to start!
Jacob's infant seat says up to 29 inches and he's already 26 inches. I'm guessing he'll grow out of it length wise soon.
Any tips or website links that I could start with?
Ideally, I would love to find something at BRU for 200$ since I still have gift certificates. There's just too many choices out there.
Re: Have you bought your convertible car seat?
We have this one and absolutely love it.

Also have a cheapie from Target for $60 in DH's car. It's ok.
I made the mistake of buying online without trying it out for size in our cars first and it was HUGE. We already opened the bag so we had to sell it used because you can't returned once open.
Go to BRU and try them out (they'll take it off the shelf and help you)...especially if you have a car or smaller vehicle. And try them out rear facing because that's what takes up the most room.
DS is 26 inches as well. While that's still a few inches, he isn't far from the top (a couple inches) and I think it's suppose to be an inch from the top. We're hoping to make it another couple months, but that's doubtful.
ETA: If you buy from BRU you can use your 15% off coupon too.
We're also getting the Scenera and the My Ride. The Scenera for DHs truck and the My Ride for my vehicle.
I have the Sunshine Kids Radian 65. It's one of the highest rated. It fits rear facing from 5 up to 40lbs and front facing up to 65lbs and 53" in a 5point harness.
Super safe and less than $200. You could also fit 3 across the back of a vehicle so that's nice too.
Walmart sells this one but Babies R Us doesnt, they only have the Radian that goes up to 80lbs and that one is about $250.
Thanks guys!
My aunt and uncle are giving us a Toyota Highlander, it's getting shipped this week. I'll probably wait until we have it and go to BRU and try a few seats out in the car first.
The Scenera was a PIA to install in my car. I have a GMC Envoy. I had to cut up a pool noodle and put it under the part that sits up against the seat back in order for it to recline enough. Once I did that, it was great. just FYI!
