Ok - I can't take it anymore. I've had a nasty persistent yeast infection since week 5 and I can't get the damn thing to go away. I've tried baking soda and corn starch soaks, monistat (just on the outside) and it just doesn't seems to be curing it completely.
Does anyone have any home remedies on how to cure this?
Thanks and sorry about the TMI but I figured of all places to ask this question, the bump is the best!
Re: Sorry about the TMI - yeast infection
I'm pretty sure you can use monistat internally, but I think one of my pregnancy books said you may have to use it longer than normal when PG. I would call your doctor to make sure, though. The only other home remedy I know of that doesn't involve putting something up there is taking a probiotic/eating yogurt.
Monistat 7 is perfectly safe during pregnancy. I had many, many yeast infections when I was pg with DD and I pretty much used Monistat once a month.
If that doesn't work, call your OB. They should be able to prescribe something.
