DD is always trying to sneak sips if DH or I have a can of Coke and we always tell her soda is just for grown ups and older kids. (I wouldn't include "big kids" except DD wants to know why my 9 yo nephew drinks two cans before breakfast).
So we went out to dinner over the weekend and DD got to our table first. As I walked up to the table, I see DD talking to the waitress, then she jumps up and down, pumps her fist in the air and shouts "Yes!" When I get to DD, she very excitedly tells me, "This lady says I get to have coke for dinner!"
Our poor waitress looked befuddled. I'm sure DD asked the waitress if she could have a coke, and being a waitress, she probably said, "sure, I'll get that right away." Apparently, DD thinks that when we are at a restaurant, the waitress must be in charge. Gotta hand it to that kid for trying, but I don't think so!
Re: My turn share a funny moment.
Very clever on her part.
I'm lucky so far that DD won't even try soda. I'm hoping that will last for a long time.
And two cans of Coke in the morning just sounds disgusting. I couldn't imagine the sugar rush and fall from that.
