Any ideas of what I can take to a friends for a potluck dinner? I have gone completely blank when it comes to thinking of a main that will be ok to be reheated when we arrive.
Any suggestions would be great, thanks

Honestly, if I am busy, I just order 4 party size containers of popcorn chicken from KFC, put them on a serving plate or bowl, with tongs and call it good. Not once have I had leftovers to take home. A tip - call KFC and tell them what you want, and when you are coming in to pick it up, and they will have it ready for you when you walk in the door.
this is my go to hotdish. super easy and super yummy! also it reheats really well. you could even assemble all the way to the actual baking part and then bake it when you get there as it doesnt take long.
Are you looking for just main dishes? Being a fairly new mama, I'd do something simple in the crockpot. If you're open to appetizers, it'd be super easy to do meatballs in the crockpot. Trader Joe's has great turkey meatballs (they have grill marks on them so they look practically homemade!) just toss them in the crockpot and then whatever sauce you want - a jar of chili sauce and (gulp) a jar of grape jelly is a popular one for meatballs, then heat through and serve with toothpicks for guests to jab 'n go.
You could also do a soup and keep it warm in the crockpot, that'd be yummy with the weather getting more chilly. I went to a friend's who made this Olive Garden knock off and it was really good:

This isn't hot, but I took it to a potluck with a dozen croissants recently and it was a huge hit - the best chicken salad I've ever tasted!

enchilada casseroles would be easy and pretty much any lasagna type dish would be too.
My mom has a total cheater lasagna recipe. It's something like this one:

basically instead of dealing with noodles and cheese, you just layer in cheese raviolis and sauce and meat or veggies or whatever you want.
Thanks for the ideas ladies, I knew you would help me out!!! I think lasagna or a crockpot dish will be the dish I will be making.
Thanks
