Did you get a massage/do acupuncture during IVF cycle?

My RE's office offers a massage package prior to and after ER and ET. Debating whether to do it or not? The IVF price includes a 30 min massage day of ET. TIA!
Many failed IUI's (medicated and unmedicated) IVF#1-Micro-dose Lupron protocol: BFN IVF#2-Antagonist Protocol-transferred 1 8-cell grade A embryo: BFP! Missed Miscarriage- D&C 4/2011 IVF#3-Antagonist protocol again but no bcp's: August 2011 DOR, endo and cervical stenosis ER 8/16/11 3 er 3 fert w/icsi ET 8/19/11-assisted hatching- transferred (2) 8 cell embryos! 9/1/11=Beta#1=824 9/6/11=Beta#2=7337

    I did acupuncture.  During stims to thicken my lining, then the day before ET and the day after ET to help with implantation.  I don't know that acupuncture was the deciding factor in everything, but I liked doing it.  I still get it to help prevent miscarriage and lessen symptoms.

    I've thought about acupunture too. I believe my RE's offers that as well. I'll call them on Monday to make sure. How soon should I start acupunture? I start my Lupron on 10/2 and stims on 10/4. Is your acupunture done at your RE's office?

    I did acupuncture day of ET right before and after the procedure.  I did get a bfp so I'm thinking it probably helped.  Since my bfp I'm still going to acu for miscarriage prevention and it feel great and makes me feel refreshed

    I do acupuncture right now.  My RE recommends an acupuncturist and holistic practioner b/c they think it helps but they don't require it.  I don't see the holistic person but see the acupuncturist 3x a week....for IVF #1, I did acupuncture right before the ET but not right after (I started back up on my regular 3x a week)...my acupuncturist recos it before & after so next time I'll do it right before ET and right after (or 1.5 hours later since my RE has me stay there for 1.5 hours).

    I had a preconception massage between my ER and ET.  It was the best darn thing I did that whole cycle.  It was so relaxing and the idea behind it is to increase blood flow to your reproductive area to increase uterine lining thickness, help get rid of any adhesions, etc.  I'm not sure if it really does that but I know I felt like a million bucks after the massage and I DO believe in the mental health is important.

    I would have done acupuncture but teh closest acupuncturist to me that really had experience with IVF cycles and complimenting acupuncture with a cycle was 90 minutes away.  I was bummed because I had done acupuncture for a few months after my first miscarriage and I really enjoyed it.

    If I had been lucky enough to have easy access to a good acupuncturist with experience in IVF cycling I would have jumped on it.  I really think it is helpful to pamper yourself during IVF... it is sooo stressful - emotionally and physically - you need to have some relaxing things to look forward to.

    I highly recommend acupuncture but with someone who deals with IF.  Best of luck :)  It made my transfer really smooth, I was so relaxed and my womb was ready :)  I also had it during stims and before ER.  Take care and best of luck :)
