I had my targeted anatomy ultrasound on Tuesday and I asked the tech if she would be the one to tell me how everything with the baby looked or would the doctor called me with results. In my paranoia, I think I remember her pausing for a second and saying that "unofficially" she thought everything looked good but that the doctor would call. The next day I got really nervous and called my doctor's office and said I was calling to get the results. The nurse said the doctor wasn't in the office yet that day but she'd take a message. I have an appointment with the doctor on Monday morning, so I was thinking perhaps they're waiting until then to go over the results with me? Then I'm getting nervous thinking that (especially because I called for results) if everything was normal someone like a nurse would have been delegated to just call me and say all was well - I'm worried if the doctor needs to discuss something with me, it must be serious.
Am I overreacting and should I assume no news is good news? Or does this sometimes happen this way when there's a concern?
Re: Dr. hasn't called me back...does this mean there's a problem?
I think right now you may be overracting. There could be a lot of reasons why he hasn't called you back (busy day, lots of patients, deliveries). How long is their call back policy? At my OB they have 48 hours. Try not to stress about it and just ask on Monday.

Most of the time they only call if there's a problem. When I didn't hear from my doc, I just assumed all was well (and it was).
I have never gotten a phone call in regards to my anatomy scan results (this is my 3rd baby)...they always relay the news at my next appointment. With my Dr, since he's the only Dr in the practice, it takes him at least 72 hours to review the scans. I had my scan at 18 weeks and went in the following week for my normal check up.
In my experience, no news is good news anyway. Stop stressing out over it, you'll make yourself sick. Relax this weekend while you wait for your appointment on Monday...worrying isn't good for the baby.
I had my anatomy scan on August 31 and I've never been told anything about it, other than the baby is a boy. I have even had an OB appointment since then. I totally forgot to ask the doctor to go over it. I'm assuming everything is fine.
I've also been admitted to L&D twice since the scan and had ultrasounds so I'm assuming if there was anything wrong/to be concerned about they would have brought it up then.
Usually no news= good news.
