I do not like sharing the road with bikes. I think that bikes make traffic problems and should have to be in bike lanes or else not on the road at all unless they can keep up with traffic. And it really frosts me when they blow through stop signs or lights, or go straight from a right turn only lane. If you want to share the road you have to obey the rules. I'm so scared I'm going to hit someone and kill them because they are idiots but then I'll have to live with it forever.
Amen to that! I witnessed a biker turning left off of Hwy 99 at a red light in front of on coming traffic. It ticked me off that he felt like he could ride in the street but not obey the traffic signs.

This! It annoys the crud outta me. They get the rights of cars and pedestrians, and I think it's extremely abused. "Share the Road" only works if the bike riders do their part, too.
Here's another annoying bike thing. I work close to the Burke-Gilman Trail and the street crosses the trail. There are stop signs on the trail and no stop signs on the street. Yet, so many cyclists just keep going like it's not an intersection and don't bother looking or stopping. I have yelled at them, if I'm angry enough and my windows are open, but usually they aren't even paying attention.

I drive that interesction everyday. I will feel no guilt if I hit someone except for the fact that it will somehow be MY fault and my rates will go up.
I also expect to get hit at the 522 intersection there from people who don't yield to those of us going straight. We kind of hope we get hit in DH's car. He needs a new bumper.

as a bike rider we get the sh!t end of the stick...no one wants us on the roads or the sidewalks/trails. i almost get hit at least twice a day...no joke. i'm not a crazy bike rider either.

The worst one for me is 61st and Bothell Way (Kenmore, by the JITB). Most of the people turning left, from either side, don't realize that oncoming through traffic actually has to go on an angle to go straight. I nearly get hit pretty much every day after work. I wish they could put signs up or something.

We are putting our kitty to sleep next weekend because his bad days are outnumbering his good days (he's been sick for awhile) and it's time.
I cry when I think about or look at him....but when he's howling in the middle of the night or throwing up again, part of me thinks it will be a little bit of a relief.
And I feel super guilty about that.
RIP George. I'm so very sorry you have to let him go, Georgie such a sweetheart and I know how much you all will miss him. He'll no longer in pain and I hope you will find peace with that. Big hugs to you Heather!
I told work I had a dentist appointment this morning so I could go to the consignment sale. My dentist's office and the sale are literally a block apart so it wasn't THAT big of a stretch, right??
And last night DH was on baby duty and Ryan got up like 3 times. I felt worse for Ryan than I did for DH. lol
Do you stop at stop signs? Red Lights? Not weave back and forth in the middle of the road?
Then you're fine!
Exactly. I live off East Lake Samm Parkway and the bike riders there drive me insane in general. Especially with blowing lights and stop signs. And then there's about a 6 foot wide shoulder that they can ride in, and for some reason, most people ride right on the line instead of trying to give a little buffer between where the cars are and where the bikes should be. And it's a very narrow 2 lane road, so it's tight as it is.
Today there was an old guy riding about 1 mph and wobbling all over like he was going to lose his balance any minute. He should totally have gotten on the sidewalk with his skills.
It also really pisses me off that they paid all of this money to build a trail all the way up this side of Lake Sammamish, and then made the damn thing GRAVEL. If they would have paved it, it would have taken the bike traffic somewhere safe for everyone.
I'm trying really hard not to see pregnancy symptoms in the somewhat unusual issues I started having in the last couple days (tired, gassy, sore breasts). I'm usually so realistic/pessimistic that I really never even think I could be pg. This time it's different since we had help and all stars were aligned. haha :-) Anyway, I refuse to POAS early (I'm so not a tester). I'll be at 14dpIUI while in Seaside, so we'll test there, if there's no sign of AF.
Okay, now you've really got me excited for you. I was totally just wondering when you would be able to test. Good luck!!!

Then you're fine!
Exactly! My big peeve is when they can't decide whether they want to be a pedestrian or a vehicle. It's whatever suits them at the time. That really ticks me off.
I feel like I'm way behind on the nursery. Everyone on the 2nd tri board has pics of themselves in their completed nursery...I have an empty crib and a dresser...that's it. Not even a mattress in the crib. I should probably get moving.
First mistake was starting your sentence with "Everyone on the 2nd tri board...." Much like wedding planning is to theknot boards, nursery decor is to the bump boards. People in the REAL world have not finished their nurseries by 19 weeks pregnant! Cut yourself some slack. Also, if it makes you feel any better, we JUST had our crib and nursery furniture delivered YESTERDAY. My due day is in two weeks. Trust me, you can't possibly be as behind as I AM!!
My FFF: Last night I temporarily took a bunch of friends on Facebook off my "Restricted" setting because I knew a bunch of them would be coming to my profile to wish me happy birthday, and I didn't want them to realize that I had pretty much blocked them from seeing EVERYTHING.

I swear no one I know in real life has these picture perfect million dollar nurseries planned and done by 19 weeks. Hell, most people dont' even know the sex then, and if your'e going to find out, you sort of need to wait right? I think the only reason I got mine done in October (Ben was born in Dec) was b/c my mom came out and visited!

Ok, thank you ladies! You're making me feel better. I haven't had any desire to do anything on it...but I did wash all of her clothes and put them away last weekend. Yes, I said all of her clothes. 4 extra large loads of laundry worth of baby clothes. My mother has lost her mind. Maybe she'll do the nursery for me like your mom jill!

if it's not too late, wait on the bigger clothes and leave the tags on so if you need to exchange them for different sizes you still can. Or if you don't get to them, you can at least sell them NWT on ebay or something...

They're mostly garage sale/consignment clothes she's picked up for super cheap. So, if baby doesn't wear them it not too big of a deal since they were only about $0.50 piece.

My parents biked that trail this summer, and there were so many 'racers' that just blow through whatever they want...one hit a woman and kept going, and another had is ipod in and t-boned my mom...unfortunately for him, my mom rides an old-school Schwinn and his bike was a piece of junk when he came to his senses.
I made lactation cookies, and I've eaten 3-4 of them a day. I don't even think they are helping.
DH is going to the Seahawks game on Sunday, and I'm not exactly loving the idea. Pre baby I wouldn't have cared, now that X is here it really irritates me. He's gone for most of the day, and I have to stay home. I love being home with our baby boy, but it would be nice to have him home with us. hmph
