I just scheduled my dog for his shots...gonna cost $125! Plus I'm out of HeartGard, which is $50 for 12 doses (I have 2 dogs - so that only lasts 6 months)....GEEZE!!!
Tell me about it. My dog broke an incisor off to down below the gumline this past winter. Had to take her to a veterinary dentist to have the stump extracted because the root was exposed. $600 later, we now call her Snagglepuss. We have two big dogs and travel quite a bit, so we have to board them whenever we go out of town and our kennel charges by the pound. It gets expensive very quickly.
Definitely expensive, but my life would be so boring without them. I love having them around, and O has started to track and smile at them and I love that they're part of the family!
Yes they are! And my dog is allergic to soooo many foods and has hip problems and seasonal allergies! We have to take her to the vet for steroid shots and give her benedryl and spend a fortune on dog food.
She's lucky we love her and we are lucky she loves us, LOL!
They are so worth it! Our boxer, Winston, got out of the fence Tuesday and we didn't get him back until yesterday. I would have given any amount of money to get him back!
Re: NBR: Dogs are expensive $$$$
Yes they are!
Dog eats a sock = $600 vet bill
Cat has stones = $900 vet bill and prescription food for the rest of his life.
But I love them so they're worth it.
