Wow! Looks like it's been slow today. I've not been on since lunch and it doesn't look like I've missed much.
This is what I've been doing the last few hours (except when the Office was on!) My brother is getting married on Halloween, so asked me to making witches finger cookies as the favor. This my first test batch.

Re: What to see what I've been doing? PIP
Oh my gosh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
those look gross..lol but so good for the theme.
Yeah, creepy is what I was going for! They aren't really that big, I think they look bigger in the picture. But they are too fat, still working to make them thinner.
Yes, he's getting married to his long time girlfriend in NYC on Halloween and on the Brooklyn Bridge. You aren't actually allowed to get married on the bridge, so I guess we'll see what actually happens. But that's his plan. Then a reception at an old bookstore, actually a bookstore that's been in SATC a bunch, but he didn't care about that fact! All the guests will be wearing costumes, but they are wearing a dress and tux as normal.
We've been making this recipe in my family for years. I'll post it tomorrow. They decided they wanted their favors to look like severed ring fingers. GROSS! But they taste like yummy buttery shortbread.

~~Also best of luck to Kati, illinigal, and youngin!~~
The "boy" fingers have sliced almonds and the "girl" fingers have whole almonds for the nails. I found red glittery gel icing at the store so I covered the almond with that to look like nail polish. Then just regular red icing at the other end to be the severed part. And I use a butter knife to make lines to look like a knuckle. You can't really see that part in the pic, but you can totally see it IRL.
I'll post the recipe and such tomorrow, too tired to do it now. It's super easy.
