? from 3rd tri- Difference in Medela PISAs

Is there much of a difference between the Medela PISA shoulder bag vs. the Medela PISA metro bag other than the obvious look?  My company sells them to us at a discounted rate, but the shoulder is only $115 and the metro is $165.  I didn't know if you ladies knew from experience!

TIA

  • I think they are the same bag, it's just that the metro comes with the Medela bottles, and the pump parts (the flanges, membranes, etc).

That's SUCH a good price on the PISA!

Do they offer it in a backpack?  I heart my backpack (dorky, I know) but at the end of the day, when I get home from work I have my purse, breastpump, diaper bag, lunch bag.  It's really convenient to just put the breastpump on my back.

  • the metro bag is more expensive because the motor is removable.  the other bags the motor is attached to the bag-  so everytime you pump you are hooked up to the whole bag.  The metro bag has an insert so you can take the motor out (it is slightly smaller than a Kleenex box) and just be hooked up to that.  I personally really like having the smaller option-  especially if you will be pumping away from home.

This is true but the shoulder bag pump is just velcroed in so it too comes out of the bag.  Not as easily but it does.  Also the shoulder bag comes with all the same accessories pp mentioned.  Really it's the difference in the motor assembly and how it comes out of the bag.
