At what point do you give Tylenol?

Before rushing me off the phone last night, DD's pediatrician said not to give her Tylenol for her fever unless I "have" to. WTF does that mean??? Her fever was 100.5 last night and is 99.7 right now. Would you give her Tylenol or should I call her back to get the "official" okay?

my pedi says tylenol anytime the temp is over 100.0
until it gets back to normal. but to call if it does not improve w/in 4 hrs.

my pedi says anything over 100.4 is fever for a newborn
