Clicky Poll: Do you wear sunglasses?

Random, I know. I have light blue eyes and cannot leave the house without sunglasses. I wear them from sun up to sun down when I'm outside even if it is overcast and have had to wear them in the rain a few times. I'm always jealous of my oldest DS who has brown/hazel eyes and doesn't need to wear sunglasses.[Poll]

  • Does the color of ones eyes make a difference?

    I did not know that....

  • I have to wear them sun up to sun down, too. I wear them when it's raining, overcast, etc. In fact, the glare when it's raining makes it worse sometimes. I've had to pull over and shut my eyes before when I've forgotten them.
  • I didn't for years and when I did, I never spent any money on them. But now that I am older, I need them bc otherwise my (brown) eyes hurt. I bought Maui Jim's so I can wear them for running/biking/triathlons as well as for fashion (I guess on the latter...I just need the UV coverage)
  • Yes, and I have blue eyes too.  Super sensitive.  I wear prescrip glasses.  My dd also has blue eyes and must wear them all the time too.  Her eyes water like crazy if she doesn't.  She even wears the on the playground at school.

Yes blue eyes even have take longer to return to normal after being dialated at the eye doc.  Almost double brown eyes.

  • I honestly do think it's something about light eyes. I have blue eyes.

I just googled and saw that yes, indeed, blue eyes are more sensitive to sunlight!

  • I picked other.  I rarely wear them, but sometimes I do.  I have blue eyes.

My DH wears them all the time.  It doesn't matter if it's foggy and you can't see a foot in front of you, if he's outside he needs them and he has hazel eyes.

  • I am the same exact way.  I have light blue eyes and I must wear them all of the time or I go blind.  The worst is in the snow with the sun reflecting back at me, I never leave the house without them.  :-)

  • I always have my sunglasses on.  Whether the sun is out or not.

My DD is the same way.  At 3 years old, she wears her sunglasses every time we are outside.  She's been freaking out about the sun being in her eyes since before she could talk.

And we both have brown eyes!
