straining so it seems to poop

Is there anything I can give ds to make him more comfortable while or before he poops? It appears like he's straining and freaks out while he's doing it.TIA

    Is he constipated or is he just a strainer? My DD has mushy poo's (tmi?) but grunts and strains and cries. Some babies just dont enjoy a good poo i guess.

    My DS went through that forever. It just now, like in this past week stopped. I know it's terrible to go through and he would get so mad and cry or it hurt him. I started adding probiotics to his bottles, once a day per the directions on the probiotic bottle. It really helped his digestive systme and intestines.

    Their abdomen muscles don't really develop until 12 or 13 weeks so they'll sometimes struggle to poop. Its normal. I put DD on her belly sometimes and the pressure helps. Also a warm cloth on the belly can help.

    My son is doing the same thing. I feel so bad for him but his pediatrician said it was normal. I can't wait till this phase is over.
