I was a little taken aback when my dr rolled into the exam room today with her u/s machine to check if baby boy was still breech, which he is. She told me my options as far as delivery go with a breech baby, which were to do an aversion or have a C-section. I'm totally not comfortable trying to turn him manually so I told her I'd rather have a C-section which she said "Great! I'll have our scheduler call you to set it up for 39 weeks!" WOAH!!! This is like for real!! Totally puts things into perspective. Of course she said he could still turn, but every day that passes the chances get slimmer and slimmer, especially since he's been like this for so long. Now I'm almost praying he stays put until then so I can have things nice and planned out...of course I wouldn't complain if he came a week or two prior but I'd love to have my doctor deliver him.
BP also looked good, gained a couple of pounds, urine was good, HB153...same old good stuff!!
Re: back from the dr--scheduling a C-section!!
You're telling me!! I was like holy crap are you for real lady?!?
At our childbirth class, they said if you google turning the baby or something similar you can find lots of natural ways to try to turn the baby. I don't think any of them are proven effective but it's like everything with ttc, it can't hurt if you want to try. She mentioned it was things like certain positions and things like sitting in a tub of warm water with it only covering the bottom of your stomach and putting cold things on the top - that maybe the baby will turn towards the warmth. And having your DH put his head in your lap and speak to the baby in the hopes that he will turn towards his voice. Again, I don't know if any of this works but it's something to try.
Wow!!! Exciting!
I'm kind of against the manual flipping also. I'd choose C-section.
Ohmygosh!!! It totally seems real now!! That is so exciting to have a real birthday for your baby all planned out!
And my baby's HR is 153 too
I wonder if I am totally wrong and it is a boy?!
