I know Amy from Biggest Loser! I forget which season she was on though.
And I went to high school with Devin Thomas, who now plays for the Washington Redskins. He is seriously the nicest guy IRL.
One of my friends from high school was drafted to the San Francisco Giants this year.
Not famous per se, but I'm pretty proud of him!
Fun question! I know Roger Federer, I grew up with him and he dated my sister for two years. I also know a lot of news people on tv since my hubby is in the business. But that's about it. I've met celebrities, but thats it, I dont know them personally nor do I really care haha
My step-dad was on a soap opera for years and was the "star" of the show they say! He was also did a bunch of modeling/commercials back in the day.

DH's cousin married Kevin McHale's daughter. Kevin McHale is the former MN Timberwolves GM and coach and played for the Celtics back with Larry Bird.

my husband was mildly famous (at least in Arizona/California) for a little while when he was in his band, The Format. he has been on a few different television shows and his music has been in big movies like National Treasure. ive gotten to meet a lot of famous people because of him.
my ex-boyfriend is nick jasenovec, wrote and directed the movie Paper Heart (michael cera/charlene yi).

I've met a lot of famous people, but I don't think I know any. My sister's best friend was roommates with George Strait's nephew and she hung out with him and his son Bubba all the time in college.
DH went to HS with a major league baseball pitcher, but I can't remember who he plays for. I knew a guy who played in the NFL for a year but got cut.

I went to college with Tony Romo (Dallas Cowboy's QB) and he was in a few of my classes. Somehow Im related to James Dean.
I was Gary Coleman's waitress once too. Thats about it

I know Jayson Blair, the NY Times writer that got busted for plagiarizing/fabricating some of his articles. We went to college together at the University of Maryland and I wrote for the school newspaper while he was editor-in-chief. He's a very charming person and I'm glad his life is getting back on track. I know a bunch of other less famous journalists....
And my mom went to high school with George O'Leary, the college football coach.

As far as knowing....
I grew up with Joey Westwood, who is in the band Red Jumpsuit Apparatus. Our families are still close, his oldest brother is a year younger than I am. I still can't believe he's in a popular band, I remember him in diapers and a red baseball cap. He's the one on the right.
I also grew up with Frank the Entertainer from the TV show I Love New York. He was the runner up and his parents were on the show and became "characters" of the show. Now they are doing a spin off called The Entertainer of Love where he will get to pick the girl. I dated his brother on and off for years. Frank's a Bum.

My uncle, Sandy Barron, was Seinfeld's parents' best friend in the show, Jack Klompus. He passed away a few years ago. He was mostly noted for his arguments over their cadillac and the Astronaut Pen episode.
Chipper Jones (MLB player) was another one I grew up with. My brother was drafted to the Pirates and hurt his shoulder and could never play again. Chipper was in high school when my brother played little league, and he'd come to watch my brother play and cheer him on because he was so good. Too bad he's such a jerk now!
Like I said I've met too many famous people to count, but when I was a waitress in college I waited on Carlton Banks from Fresh Prince. He signed my menu but wouldn't do the dance for us. In fact, he was kind of stuck up in general. He was also ripped like a body builder, which I hadn't expected.
Jeffrey Dahmer used to hang out with the people who lived across the street from us when I was a little kid (like 3-4). He went to my sister's HS when she was there. I think back then he was just killing animals ... our dog did get caught in a bear trap in our nice suburban area around that time, I think she could have been his victim!
I met Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes at Disney World on Valentine's Day.
Alan Jackson used to come to the Cheesecake Factory I worked at all the time.
Celine Dion performed at my 5th grade graduation dance.
And that's about all I got- no one I actually know. Although DH's family has built houses for a bunch of brand name people. McCormick (as in the spice) and Dooney (as in & Bourke).
I think saw The Format in concert once! Did they open for Something Corporate at UCF a couple years ago?
I know Three Six Mafia from my job....and surprisingly enough, they're some of the nicest, down to earth guys you'd ever meet. I also know a bunch of other rappers, but they're mostly local artists.
I also know the Dickinson brothers from North Mississippi All-Stars (one of them is playing with the Black Crowes right now).
A friend of mine from high school played Johnny Cash's drug dealer in "Walk The Line," and the guys who played Elvis's backup band in that movie are friends of ours as well.
Working in the music biz is always fun.
DH knows Davey Havoc from AFI. I went to high school and was friends with Aries Spears(Mad TV), I was closer to his best friend at the time, Ishmael who actually ended up on the show a few times as an extra. DH saw him at a gym out here and chickened out going up to talk to him. We see a lot of celebrities out here, but we're of the belief not to bother them when they're out doing they're daily routine. The thing is if he went up to Aries and told him who his wife was, Aries would have been totally open to conversation.
My dad is friends with Bill Barber (Philly Flyers) and sees him regularly, but I don't really know Bill. My BIL is an American Hockey League Head Coach, so he's kinda famous! I've also met and talked Mike Richards of the Flyers and David Clarkson of the Devils on many occassions. I also know Pete Debeor coach of the Florida Panthers.
Obviously there is a bit of a hockey focus to my families lives!
I don't, but in the late sixties, my mom was at Disney and Micheal Jackson was there with his brothers. She hung out with them all day, and he asked her out on a date, but my grandmother wouldn't let her because he was black....she has always said that he was such a nice guy, and that it's too bad how it all turned out.
We always joke that my brother's name could have been Blanket!

My cousin is married to Frank Cavanagh, the bassist from the band Filter.
I also went to middle and high school with Scott Weinger (DJ's boyfriend from Full House and the voice of Aladdin), Seth Gabel (Dirty Sexy Money, Nip Tuck, married to Bryce Dallas Howard), and Josh Gad (Back to You, 21).
And Elizabeth Taylor is my grandfather's first cousin, but I can't say I "know" her because we've never met.
I went to middle and jr high school with Ian Somerhalder (Boone from Lost and now on the Vampire Diaries). Every girl in school had a crush on him back then.
DH met Michael Jackson at Disney World. DH was about ten and they were eating dinner at the Hoopty Doo Review. His mom took a picture.
