Right now, it is a very lovely white with a pink ceiling and victorian border. I'm posting this so you know what NOT to do! We moved last year and I haven't touched this room yet. Its fugly!
We bought our home 5 yrs ago and still haven't done anything with our home office or master bathroom. The home office is a plain jane off white walls and ceiling. The ceiling fan is hideous; I can't wait to make changes to this room.
I just painted it a pretty robin's egg blue - Behr Paint Plus Primer "Clear Pond." And a week later I saw pictures in a decorating magazine that used SW's "Mindful Gray" and, crap, I should've used that!

Good luck,
Work in progress! It is celery green. It will have white built in shelving hopefully by the end of Oct!
Here is a link to some home office pics since I was not helpful at all in my post above:

It is the same color as the rest of our downstairs--Dunn Edwards Tuscan Mosaic-- a brown with green undertones.
However, in our last house the office was a bright brick red and I loved it. It just didn't work in this house.
