Kindly describe the dreaded "wakeful"

 What's it like?

 Can it come early?  Em just turned 3 months on Saturday but since then she's gotten up in the middle of the night (which she's rarely done in the last two months) and has gotten up before I usually get her up to start the day.

I'm wondering: could it be a little pre-wakeful or maybe I need to up her ounces during the day?

    There's a growth spurt at 3 months.

    We noticed a change in DS's sleeping habits at about 3 1/2 months. He went from only waking 2 times a night to being up every hour. This lasted about two weeks and slowly got better. He is still getting up 3-4 times a night, so I think we are still in the wakeful period. What sucked was that this coincided with me going back to work. yeah fun

    Getting up 12 times a night,that's all I have to say.
