Can someone please tell me which brand to get? I'd like to experiment, but I'm not sure where the start (there are so many options)! I need a wrap that's good for a newborn and extremely hot weather. I am willing to buy the best! Didymos maybe? But which one? Which size? Or something else to start out with???? Help!! Thanks!
Re: which kind of wrap do I want?
My siggy link might help you out ;-) I've got some info on which brands are cooler since I like thin wraps myself. Vatanai is probably the thinnest woven - and they are very soft brand new (some wraps require breaking in). I think they are also easy to wrap with. Didy waves are my favorite didy weave (and one of the coolest) - they require a little breaking in if you buy new but they aren't bad at all.
Didymos is always a safe bet but there are other great brands as well. I think the best thing to do is to find something you love the look of since that means you are more likely to want to learn to use it.
As for size, depends on what carries you want to do and what size you are. The "average" size to be able to do all carries is a 6 (4.6 meter). If you are on the thinner side, you can probably go with a smaller (4.2 meter) or if you are fluffier you might want a size bigger (5.2 meter).
I'm happy to answer other questions too!
