How does one house with two people get so messy?

We clean every weekend too.  I almost had a panic attack looking around this morning.  I'd like to blame it all on DH, but I guess some of this crap is mine too!

    easy when you throw 2 puppies into the mix. Riley decided to dig a hole in to couch and scatter the foam all over and chew through the doggy gate DH built. (hes never done anything like that before).

    DH has a problem when he takes something out he doesnt put it back. magizines, computer equiptment, CDs, Cups, tools, food, snacks etc....it all adds up after a week

    Don't ask me how, but my house has gotten better since adding a third person.  I think it's survivial instinct kicking in - we don't have time to do a huge clean up job, so we keep it clean as we go.

    Both DH and I are constantly asking that question and constantly saying "Ok, if we take 10 minutes a day t tidy up and then do the big stuff at least 1 day a week then we will be good"

    In 3 weeks, the cycle repeats

    I blame it all on the cat. He's a messy eater, and just messy in general (I had no idea cats could be slobs!). OK, maybe I'm kinda messy too....

    I feel the same way and it makes it even worse that DH has to keep some stupid crap.  Everytime I put a bunch of his atving magazines in the recycle bin he digs them back out.  I wouldn't try getting rid of them if he would put them away, but he leaves them laying all over the living room.
