Max just fell asleep eating (reclined all the way back) - so I left him there. I used to do that with Ian too. It just made me wonder if anyone else does this.
No, but our highchair doesn't recline. I am a fan of doing whatever it takes to get my kid to sleep, so it seems fine to me. When I first read your subject line, I imagined the poor kid bent over with his face lying on his tray full of food.
I did that with DD a bunch of times because she wouldn't nap after that if I tried to move her to her crib. Once I realized how quickly she was ready to go down after she finished eating we avoided the problem.
