1 Hr GD screen=fail

But not by much.  They recommend a 3 hr if the results are above 130, mine is 136.  My mother has type 1 diabetes so she is always scared when her daughters are pregnant.  Her biggest fear is that we will get it as GD and then continue to be diabetic after birth.  I'm not overweight and eat fairly well, not much else I can do... 

I've heard from 2 friends that their 3 hr tests came back normal, how many of you have had this happen?

    I don't know what my numbers were but I failed the 1 hour and passed all three draws on the 3 hour.

    i was borderline with the one hour.  took the 3 hr and passed (even tho one of the blood draws were sky high).

    Mine was also 136 on the one hour and I passed the three hour with no problem.

    I scored a 145 on my 1hr (Doctor wanted between 135-140, and I passed my 3hr.

    I failed the 1 hour by 6 points and then did the 3 hour. Out of the four blood draws only one was slightly elevated. But since i'm having twins they want to monitor me so I have to go to a diabetes education class.

    I'm sure you'll be fine! I've heard so many people fail the 1 hour only to pass the 3 hour one.

    not that i want to get your hopes down... i failed the 1 hour with a 142 (my dr wanted 140 and under) and then went on to fail the 3 hour (i passed 2 of the blood draws and failed 2). i actually just found out today, so i'm going to see my doctor to find out the implications. 

    Good luck though!! i hope you dont have GD

    I failed both!  Just found out last night that I have GD.  Good luck with your tests!

    I failed the 1 hr - had a 176 and the doctor wanted a 140 or below.  Taking the 3 hour test next wednesday.  Not too excited about it and trying not to stress too much about it.......trying to make myself come to the realization that I have no real control over it!!

    I failed the 1 hour as well, don't know by how much though. I have to take the 3 hour next Tuesday. What a great way to spend my day off.?
