Cold sores and freaked out :(

I've had cold sores ever since I was little, good times.  Well, I discovered one today on my upper lip, no tingling or usual symptoms occurred, aside from having raised skin.  Now I am freaked out because I kissed DS on the lips yesterday and fear he'll catch it.  He is acting fine today, no differences in eating/behavior etc.  I am just so freaked out and scared I'll give it to him even though I am taking every precaution not to since discovering it.  Ugh :(

    That must be a very hard thing not to pass on to LO, since they pop up with little warning :(  I hope he doesn't get one!

    This happened to me when DD was first born.  My body was under so much stress from labor and then having to have a c-section and I personally was stressed because she was jaundiced and we couldn't go home.  The nurses just told me to wash my hands and avoid kissing her at all.  They also put me on Valtrax to clear it up.  Call your doctor and see if you can get that.
