on a hot mic!
also, word on the street is (according to a local morning radio show here)- taylor swifts mom gave it to him real good backstage, and so did beyonce's dad.
GOOD FOR THEM!
Kanye needs to stop acting like a whiny little cvntrag everytime he (or someone he produces) doesn't win.
Re: obama called kanye a jackass
oh ffs is everything a political jab for you?
I thought Jay Leno asked him the best question, "what would your mother have thought of your behavior?"
Or something along those lines.?
i had no clue he was on leno. thats awesome. what did kanye come back with?
eh, I don't know. She clearly didn't raise him to be humble or empathetic. So, who knows what she would have thought of that. His Leno interview didn't impress me.
I just caught a clip of it and I am pretty sure he is speechless. Kanye just looks down at his hands.
good he should be looking at his hands. and mando- you're right- his mama raised a fool! (or maybe not... some things are out of her control... but i get a feeling based on some of her past behavior that she is partially to blame)
Oh I agree, a mother can't be blamed completely for their child's actions/personality. But, I'm more referencing the above bolded statement.
Funny since this is the first political jab for me
maybe so, i just meant - i am so sick of people trying to turn everything into a political debate
I have no idea what happened, but I think it's super klassy for the POTUS to be using that word. Children look up to him and unfortunately watch the news, read magazines and are going to think it's acceptable to call someone that.
And to think everyone saying that standing up in Congress and yelling liar was inappropriate. lol

I'm just joking with you. Yes, it was wrong of Bush to do the same thing. But sadly it just shows how the majority of our society has a huge potty mouth and couldn't care less about it.
And you know I dislike Obama and love any chance to criticize
I think all above examples are high-larious.
I am a child.
Okay so maybe I am a lil bit lost here but what past behavior did she display that has her partially to blame for a grown man. Do you even know who his mother was? Seriously this woman was a pioneer in her time. She was a professor and a former chairwoman of the Chicago State University English Department. This is a woman who raised a child on her own after a bitter divorse.
I am sure there will be a time after we raised our children to the best of our abilities that they do something that does not reflect the way we raised him. Lord knows I have done some stuff that I know my mother would not be proud of...does she still support me - yes!!! Will I still support my child when she does something profoundly stupid - Hell Yes...because as parents we will scold and tell them they were wrong but we will still be there to pick up the pieces...I am sure if his mother was still alive she would scold him and tell him he was wrong.
Now dont get me wrong - I do not support what Kanye West did - but to try to put some of the blame on his mother is RIDICULOUS. You all should be shame of yourselves...
It was suppose to be off the record. He wasn't addressing the nation and said it....that would be wrong and completely inappropriate.
I know his mom was a well-respected professor, and I'm not trying to take sides here, but he acts like a spoiled brat, and that probably started when he was a child. And, well, the Oompa-Loompas told me the parents are to blame when their kid is a brat.
Doop-a-dee-do.

Exactly...he was talking to a group of reporters and said it off the record but one of the reporters went and put it on twitter...and they have since been reprimanded ...it wasnt a HOT MIC - he was just shooting the breeze
This comment is BS and a cop out. When children are brats - they yes you can blame the parents...but when GROWN MEN AND WOMEN...key word being grown act like spoiled brats - that has everything to do with them. You dont know how he was raised and after hearing her interviewed several times - she doesnt seem the type (IMO) that would allow him to act like that with her.
Thats like blaming the parents when someone gets doing anything wrong...well it must be the parents fault because they werent raised right? WTF???
Okay so its my mom's fault when my brother got pulled over for speeding...because hey she should have taught him better...or its my mom's fault when I would mouth off at my teacher...because hey she should have told me not to talk back to an adult....NEWSFLASH - she did....
Or it's a joke, FFS.

Geek...
I get the O-L thing was a joke...but the entire comment that his behavior must be something that was started in childhood and not handled by his mother is what I am saying is BS.
But whatevs...blame the mom...isnt that always the way it goes...
All I'm saying is that he probably started this entitled attitude when he was a kid. I certainly don't think she's responsible for this lack of adult behavior now, though, especially when she's dead.
I would like to think, however, that if she were still alive, she'd have smacked the piss out of him for what happened at the VMAs.

Oh we so agree on this...
I just want to see how skinny we can make Megs comment
But I also think that the celebrity mindset can and very often does negate some aspects of a person's upbringing. Fame and "yes-men" go to their head and they lose sight of what their parents taught them...especially when that parent is no longer with them to whack them upside the head to set them straight again. I'm certainly not defending what Kanye did...he should have some sense of decency and responsibility for his actions, but I don't think it is his mother's fault.
I just saw this on Perez Hilton's website which is a recording of Obama saying it (and, yes, it was on twitter as well). Oh, and I loved the comment. It cracked me up! I don't care who said it.
eta. I have no idea the source of this on perez's website, so it could be made up.
