Just ate an hour ago - sucking hands?

My lo eats every 3 hrs typically.

She just ate at 12:40pm and then spit up quite a bit - which is unusual for her and she was just sucking on her hands like crazy.

any other reason except hunger for this?

    DD does this too. I think it's a soothing mechanism, like a paci.

    Yeah, it doesn't always mean hunger.  Try giving a paci and if your LO cries, expecting milk, then you may want to re-feed.

    Well, she wouldn't be teething at this point so she's probably still hungry or hungry again. Especially if she spit up.

    My DD started sucking on her hands at about 8w - turns out, she just wanted to suck on something. It was about that time we started giving her a paci.

    It confused me at first, and got me all concerned about my breastmilk supply, but she wasn't hungry at all.

    That's when DS found his hands.  Completely normal.  Beware for lots of drool and bubbles soon! lol

    doesnt necessarily mean she's hungry, DS does that alot too, I think he just discovered his hands.

    DD sucks her hands frantically when she's hungry or tired. You usually have to look at the clock or do trial and error to see which one it is. If you are nearing nap time, could mean she's sleepy.

    Yes, definitely a soothing thing.  DS does it constantly, and I think it started up around 2 or so months.

Me: 35; DH: 34 DX: DOR, egg quality issues ; DH - all normal FSH 10.1, Estradiol 21.8, AMH 0.49 IVF #1 (Oct/Nov 2011) (Antagonist with BCP's)- 5R, 0 eggs to transfer CD3 b/w by same RE 1/2012: FSH 6, AMH 1.4...wtf?? IVF #2 (Apr 2012) EPP/Antagonist with ICSI - 10R, 7M, 6 ICSI'd, 2F. 3DT = BFN AMH tested by new RE 6/2012 - 2! Saving money for IVF #3. Started a ton of supplements in May 2012 and hoping for a miracle! SURPRISE BFP!! (October 2012)
