Angel Care monitor set up

We are about to set up the angle care monitor, any tips?

  • make sure you put the sensor pad in the middle of the crib where you will place your baby.  You may have to adjust the frequency to detect motion.

Heads up...when baby starts rolling or moving, he/she will most likely move off of the sensor.  The alarm will sound when this happens.  At that point, you will probably want to turn off the motion sensor.  Or else you will be freaked out every night!

    this exactly!

  • I agree with the PP.  I never had the "ticks" sounding because it was too distracting. One thing I will add is that DS would always scoot to the top of his crib, so we placed the sensor closer to the spot rather than the middle.

  • We had to put a piece of plywood under the sensor pad (but on top of the crib springs) to get the sensitivity right. We also had to turn the sensitivity down slightly or it would pick up the ceiling fan. Make sure you don't have a mobile or anything on the crib that might create tiny motions. We loved ours and didn't stop using it until like 14 months :)

  • Make sure you adjust sensitivity if you have a fan or something else running in the room.
