My friend watched Luke for me a few weeks ago and said he really liked the fish sticks w/ ketchup she gave him. SO I bought some fish sticks and he is currently eating them with a little bit of ketchup on his plate. Well...he keeps dipping the sticks into the ketchup and sucking it off!
When you give your kids fish sticks, do you give them sauce or just the fish? Ordinarily I would have just given him the sticks, but my friend had told me she had given it to him with ketchup so I figured, why not. Now I think I know why not!
Re: Fish sticks
We don't give condiments right now either. I don't want to deal with the mess and I want her to learn to eat food without dipping it in something. Whenever she figures out that we always use condiments with stuff, then I guess we'll have to start giving her some too.
I haven't tried fish sticks yet just because I'm pretty sure she won't eat them.
DD doesn't like condiments either so we're gonna hold off until she asks for some herself. She's unsure of fish sticks as well.
DS had fish sticks today too, he loves them. Usually we give him ketchup and he licks most of it off the fish stick, but since he eats them after he licks of the ketchup, we don't mind giving it to him. Today he just had the fish sticks plain since he had lots of other tomatoes today and we didn't want him getting a tummy ache, he didn't seem to notice and happily ate all his sticks!
