TTC After a Loss

Cousin home from Afghanistan

I am so thankful and happy to announce that my cousin is finally home safe and sound from his most recent two-year-tour serving his country in Afghanistan. He's totally my hero, and I'm just so happy to have him home safe. I know his mother and wife will sleep for the first time since he left.

For anyone who has family and loved ones in the military, I pray they will be back with you soon. It's a terrible thing, the waiting, and they deserve all the thoughts and prayers we can send them.

  • Thats awesome. My cousin (who is pretty much like a brother to me, my aunt died of breast cancer awhile back and my Dad has pretty much taken over as their parent).... is in Islamabad Pakistan right now serving as an American Ambassador, he emails my Dad all the time telling him how scary it is over there...

  • He's home for at least one year, for sure, and then he can be recalled at any point for, I believe, two years after that. Obviously we hope there won't be a need for him to return in those two years.
