This is our boy name for sure. As I know more people are starting to use it for a girl, which spelling do you like best for a boy? My husband prefers Emery, but I just want it to be as masculine as possible!
Given that my most immediate associations are that an emery board is a nail file, while Emory is a university in Georgia named after someone named Bishop John Emory, I'd pick Emory. I guess they are both historically an English surname...

I was going to suggest the "e" spelling when I clicked on the post, but now that I see it's for a boy, I definately would go with the "o" spelling. More masculine.

Emory seems more masculine to me for some reason.

Emory = emory board = nail file.
I like Emery best but I also had an Emre in my kindergarten class and it was pronounced Emm-Ray. That's kinda cute, too.
