  • actually i do read the board, because as you notice i have children. but my children's problems are more extensive than normal children, so the things y'all talk about i don't have any input in and honestly, i'm way too laidback then some of the girls on here. i'm sure there's TONS of people that read these boards that don't post. i just thought this one was a really silly argument.

    Then why make more drama?

And yes, it WAS a silly argument, completely blown out of proportion.  But that's what happens when some people can't accept opinions other than their own.

  • i have yet to see where i or others for that matter, started drama. drama for this thread was started way before Sars, EMT and I ever chimed in. i simply stated my opinion about this post and the board, and its clear that the "some people" you are referring to aren't the only ones that can't accept opinions other than their own.

dianthe sees why people would want a baby planner

CreamyMonster doesn't see why people would want a baby planner.

    -- there are the opinions.

You're as blind as the rest of the other stooges.  Really.

  • Not pregnant yet, but I can see why people would consider some of their services.  None of my TX friends have babies and we do not live near any family.  So we'll be relying on books and message boards for help/suggestions.  We will certainly research suggestions to make the best fit for our family, but at least we would have a starting point.

    Couple things.

    1. Either you read/frequent the board or you don't. Based on your original remark I was under the impression that you just happened by.

    2. If what we typically discuss is completely irrelevant to your life, I don't get what is drawing you in.

    3. I know a pretty good number or these ladies now and none of them are really all that high strung. I consider myself one of the crazier ones. Oh and Totty is prone to anal retentiveness and list making. She'd probably be a really great baby planner.

    4. This post really only got crazy when someone threw up the bat signal that the bump biiiitches had dared to scoff at the idea of a baby planner.

    5. Who cares? I spent what I am sure many would consider a ridiculous amount on my kid's birthday. I get it. It was frivolous but I enjoyed planning it and had a blast. That's what blows my skirt up. If baby planners do it for you, have at it. It's ok that most of us think that is a little silly. And it's not as if we are SAHWives or women of leisure who can't grasp the concept of having a lot of balls in the air.

    I seriously <3 you, Jessi.  You're funny.

I'm totally going to quit my job and become a baby planner.  Apparently there is a large market for ladies who like to spend their money on bullshit services.  Sure, I'll help you prepare for maternity leave.  Easy $$ to spend all day on the bump and trollng Babies R Us.  I call this job BRILLIANT!!!  But I personally would never pay for it.  :)

  • If I could afford it I would have definitely had a baby planner.  And a wedding planner.  A life planner would be great too.

Ideally, I'd love to be super rich so that I could just jet away for a month at a time to my villa in Tuscany sans husband and child.  I'm sure they'd be fine because we'd have a live-in maid and nanny to take care of them.  Ahhhh that would be the life.

Time to buy a lottery ticket!

For the diapers I buy Pampers because I can't stand looking at Disney characters on Huggies.

Because Sesame Street is sooo much better?

  • imagesars1202:
    in my eyes, yes.

Lolz. I have to agree with this. I pph Sesame and I'm not a fan of a lot of Disney things, their movies being the major exception. I didn't even like Disney World. Although to be fair I was 16 and pissed that I got thrown off whatever that adult island was when they realized I wasn't with my parents.

I really wish they would make pampers all white, lol.  I hate all the characters on all the diapers

  • Our huggies have Winnie the Pooh....I didn't know there was anyone out there who disliked looking at Pooh. (no punn intended. lol)

No Pampers for us, DS is allergic.

the Target up&ups are polka dots and the same "sturdiness" as Pampers. no characters yay!
