I just realized I have to change my nicknames for DD

in Two Under 2
I always call DD my "favorite baby", "number one girl", etc.  I guess I need to stop calling her that now, right?  I'm sure she won't realize, but I'm going to have to really watch myself.

    Well, if #2 is a boy she can still be your number 1 girl.  I often catch myself saying DD is the best baby "in the world" or the cutest baby "on the planet" (I know, but that's just to her, nobody else).  Definitely going to have to put the kibosh on that kind of talk now. LOL

    DH and I were just talking about that.  We always call D our #1 man and refer to him as our baby.  It's going to be so weird to think that soon enough there is going to be another little baby and he won't be the "baby" any more!

    Ever since I have known I was pregnant I have been telling DD that no matter what she will always be my favorite and to never forget it.  Since she is only 16 months old she has no clue but I feel kinda guilty and I want her to know that I love her.  In reality I do worry about being able to love ANYONE as much as I love DD.  It seems pretty impossible.

    sounds crazy but we tell our girls that they are the cutest Madelyn and Jillian in the world or that they are our favorite big sister and favorite little sister...

    My father still tells me I'm his favorite daughter.  Of course, I'm his only daughter, but I'll take it!  I tell DS all the time that he is the best and cutest baby in the world... I'll just multiply when DS2 comes along... "you're the best and cutest babies in the world." That works, right?  DS1 will always be my baby.. he'll just be my big baby (like DH!).
