I work on my feet and have to bend down contstantly at work. I catch myself doing this all day long. I was wondering, should I stop bending over or does there come a point where I wont be able to at all. And is this hurting the baby? I haven't read anything about this but my yoga dvd says I shouldn't bend or twist, so I was just wondering. Thanks
Re: Bending at the waist?
You shouldn't bend or twist? I do both with my prenatal yoga.
You may have to open your legs and bend your knees more as your belly gets bigger, but there's no reason you can't bend over.
Twisting is fine as long as you don't overdo it and pull a muscle.
This. And you'll want the bending to happen at your hips, not at your waist.

You're fine for now. There will probably be a time when you wont be able to bend at your hips anyway.
Just remember that when you do bend over your putting all that pressure on your back especially when you start to get a bump. Your back muscles will thank you if you start bending at the knees.
