chinese gender chart....right or wrong?

So, who all has done this gender chart? I did it and it said Girl. I rejoiced, DH grimaced.

I tried it on 8 people who have already had children and it was correct on ALL of them!! I havent found a single person it was wrong for....although I am sure you guys will fill me in on some.

According to our "timing" we should be expecting a girl but the Chinese chart says boy so I am interested to see these responses.

I was 50/50 with everyone I know before I had DD1.

That said it was correct for both of my girls and predicts another girl.

For my 1st, it was wrong. It said boy and I had a girl. This time it's saying a bog again...

Well let me tell you...I did it for me and it said boy. Mind you I have that gut feeling it is a boy so then I tried this thing that's out...intelligender and it said boy too. Sooo looks like I will have to wait to confirm but I am 80% this peanut is a baby boy ;0)

Shortly after finding out I was pregnant, my aide, (I'm a pre-k teacher) went in our Early Learning Center to ask all of the teachers if the gender chart was right for them. Out of 9 teachers, with a total of 16 children between all of them, it was right for 15! So I guess you just have to wait and see but I've seen it be more right than wrong!

It was correct for my first 2 pregnancies. It said boy for both, and both were boys. This time it says girl, we will see. I willl find out by 9/18 (CVS test results due that day).

Right for both pregnancies. We have a boy and just found out yesterday we are expecting a girl. I looked at the chinese gender chart and did the "ring test" with both pregnancies and both were correct!

If you think about it, it can't possibly be accurate on everyone. It's based on the mother's age at the time of conception, and the month of conception. So, I'm 25, and conceived in July. The predictor said "girl." That would mean that EVERY 25 year old woman around the world who conceived in July is having a girl. How likely does that seem? Not very to me. But it's fun to do as something not serious.

What I don't understand about the Chinese gender chart is how it asks for our age and the month when we conceived. Last time I checked we only had X Chromosomes and the men have both X & Y. So does this mean our eggs are picky during that month and won't accept a particular chromosome??? That doesn't sound like anything I learned back in 5th grade sex ed... I know it's been a long time since then, but I would think we would have heard an amendment or there would be something about it online. Wink

With DD, I found a couple different versions online. Some were right; others were wrong.

The chart that predicted DD was a girl also predicts a girl this time. The charts that predicted boy for DD predict a boy this time.

We'll see in a couple months, I guess.

It was wrong for me with DS. Says another girl with this one so we'll see. Intelligender also said girl but I'm going with my gut that this is another boy.

It was right w/ DD and this time around it says girl also. We'll know in about 7-10 weeks. But I will say, last time around I had a gut feeling it was a girl. We weren't able to find out at out 20 week u/s because she wasn't cooperating. I found out at 32 weeks. All the while I just knew she was a girl & bought girl stuff & just stapled the store receipt to the tag just incase. This time around, as much as we both want a boy, I think it's a girl again. DH is upset w/ me for thinking that LOL.

the one on the nest said DD would be a boy so WRONG... BUT other ones I found online said she would be a girl and she was...those same ones say this baby will be a boy and that is my gut feeling too. DH and I both had a complete girl feeling with the last baby - we totally doubted ourselves and ended up right so I'm giving my gut a little more credit this time.

I have seen two different chinese gender predictors...both give me different answers. So we'll see. The non-bump version was more accurate when I tried it out on random friends.
