We've been working on PT on and off for the past several months. My DD will go on the potty but then 10 minutes later she's wet. Its like she's not completely emptying her bladder. We've sat on the potty on and off but lately she wants nothing to do with the potty.
She was born at 26w3d. My ped seems to think it will be closer to 3 1/2 when she'll be ready. I'm looking for any PT experiences and what gestation ages your LO was born at. TIA.
Re: Moms of older preemies - potty training
DS was a 32wkr and our ped. assured us that being born early has nothing to do with PTing (unless there are heath/medical issues relating specifically to peeing/pooping). He started peeing on the toilet (off and on) around 2yrs actual and then he'd go days accident free followed by days of needing diapers and seemingly having no clue what a toilet even was :-P Finally about 2 weeks after his 3rd bday he decided that was it and it was it. He also night trained about a month or so later so it was almost as if he was just waiting to do it all at once - lol.
I don't know what it is for girls, but the average age for day-trained boys is 3.5
