I had a m/c about a week and a half ago and during my follow up appointment, my doctor said that there was no medical reason to wait 1-3 cycles to try to get pregnant again. She said that I could certainly be irregular, but that there wasn't any medical danger to it.
That is certainly the answer I wanted to hear, so DH and I have decided to go with it, but what have your doctors said? Thoughts?
Re: Has anyone else's Dr said there is no reason to wait?
Mine told me to wait 2 cycles (he specifically said that's a 'general rule' and was not specific to me). I didn't like that answer, and so I started doing as much research as possible...but never came up with any concrete reasons to wait. Some Dr.'s say you'll get pg when your body is ready so there's no reason to wait, others suggest waiting after a D&C due to your uterine lining being possible damaged and needing time to heal.
Since I m/c naturally and had a normal 1st cycle, we started TTC'ing right after I got AF (after my first cycle)...
My first loss was at 12 weeks, and I had a D&C. We were told to wait 3 cycles.
This last chemical pregnancy ended pretty much when it started, so the dr. told me I don't have to wait if we are ready to try again. Although she did tell me not to expect my cycle to be regular this time, or maybe even next, as the body can take awhile to get back to normal.
