Me again... can you tell I don't have a mother figure to ask these questions to?
I know I post often these days, and sometimes my questions are repetitive or flamed, but I always appreciate all the insight I can get...
Anyways, Marcus is just starting to have real wakefulness during the daytime, and I want to do everything I can without overstimulating him, to help progress his development, get him started off smart ![]()
Any tips? What do you do with your LO at this age?

Put him in the sling and wear him around the house.
Take him for walks.
Sing a little bit.
Sit on the floor with my knees up, put the baby in my lap, and coo like a fool.
Same as what's been mentioned- walking (with baby in sling), singing, snuggling, etc. And before I know it... he's asleep again. LOL

I find the 40 days indoors recommendation sort of... unhelpful. It may work for some, but I need some time in fresh air every day, or I get badly depressed.
My son was mildly colicky (nothing like as bad as some, but we did have the occasional bout of mysterious screaming), and would reliably quiet down the *moment* we stepped out of doors. We did some standing on the porch, and some strolling around the block, and those are pretty sweet memories for us.
I would go stir crazy if I didn't leave the house... we've probably gone out on 8 outings and she's only 13 days old.
Right now I just snuggle her
Agreed. ?Going outdoors is wonderful for babies. ?I know it's important to go out and get some fresh air, and yes, colicky or fussy babies LOVE the outdoors, my daughter is no exception. ?I was mostly referring to going out in public, i.e. the grocery store, the mall, etc. ?To each his own, but I feel it is WAY to soon to take a baby less than an month old out and about in public. ?Their immune systems are developing and taking babies out is exhausting for them...a little outing goes a looong way. ?You can always leave the baby with a family member for an hour or two if you need to get out and be amongst civilization...I totally get that.?
