machine washing marathon cover?

Have you ever washed a Britax marathon seat cover in the machine?  The tag says handwash but I know my machine would get more of the dirt out (DD spilled an entire juice box in it today...thanks DH).  Wanted to get some opinions before I ruined my cover.  Thanks!

    I have a front loader so I tend to be more brave, I even washed my wedding dress in it!

    I either washed the cover on hand wash or delicate and it came out great, I laid it in the sun to dry.

    I just put it on gentle cycle and hung it out to dry- no problems at all.  In fact, I need to do it again... thanks for the reminder!

    Yep, machine wash delicate and hang to dry.  Just make sure you don't wash the harness straps.
