I have a Liz Lange basic maternity t-shirt from Target that's a size small. It fits, but it will probably only fit for the next 2-3 months. It hasn't been dried, and probably couldn't be dried, because if it shrinks too much, it wouldn't fit.
Anyway, I'm going to buy just some basic maternity t's from Old Navy, but I have NO idea about their sizing. Typically, I wear a medium to large in the Old Navy tall section...I always had to buy larges in the regular section to make sure they were long enough. I have no idea how Old Navy maternity runs...can anybody help?
Re: Target vs Old Navy Maternity
I've heard this too. Also, maternity shirts seem to run long in general...but I wonder how much longer they'll be long enough! I usually have to shop exclusively in the talls section, and no place really makes "tall maternity" that isn't extremely expensive!
I am 5'8 and very long waisted. I typically do the same thing as you with the med/large to make sure it's long enough.
I have bought everything on oldnavy.com in medium, and everything thus far has fit with the exception of 1 shirt that ran large (but will likely fit me later in pregnancy). GL!

I'm only 13w along, so I'm obviously not as big as I will be at some point. That said, I thought the ON stuff felt like it ran large. I have been in medium or large tops, and I ordered a large dress. It was like a tent. I suppose I'll grow into it at some point, but it's really big.
I also bought a LL maternity shirt from Target in large that fits well now and is pretty long.
Do you have an ON in your area? It's best to try stuff on because it can be pretty hit and miss. Good luck!
I just ordered long sleeve t's from old navy. I normally wear a med, but these med's were really big. i.e. in the length of the arms and body. I don't think I would end up growing in arm length :-)
In my experience all maternity clothes are junk. They last for weeks if you're lucky. Luckily they tend to be cheap
If you're comparing Target and Old Navy maternity, ON runs larger than Target
