I would not but I worried alot about what the initials would spell that I overlooked the monogram. My poor DD will never be able to get things monogrammed because it would be aTe! I am sad for her!
i would if I liked the names enough. We have an O last name and considered H and B first names even though people kept telling us that zomg she'll be teased. At least our kids can respond with "at least my mom didn't name me heaven backwards"

No, I thought of initials when choosing names. I didn't want something that would be made fun of. Kids will inevitably get teased over one thing or another, but why give them easy material, right?
My DH has a cousin whose initials are A.S.S, but his last name has changed since he was born because he's never met his dad and her new husband's last initial is S. Bad luck.
If I liked the name that much, I probably wouldn't give it too much thought. DS's initials are NAG - nice huh?! DH says I'm naming him after me - think he's trying to tell me I'm a nag? :P
Anyhow, my theory is that kids are going to make fun of something in school, and if it's not initials, it's going to be something. It stinks and I don't look forward to my son going through it, but I also see it as a right of passage - everyone goes through it at some point.
Probably not. At my college, everyone was assigned a student ID that was a person's initials and then some random numbers, so I'm a little more aware of initials and what they spell than I used to be.

My older brother is AIS and he used to tell friends (when he was a kid) that his middle name was Simon and his initials were really ASS.
To answer the question: No, I would never do that. But your kid may enjoy it as a way to swear as a middle schooler. ha.
