  I get them pretty much every week in my local newspaper.  You can also sign up online to be on their e-mail list and you get them e-mailed out pretty often.

  They usually send a flyer in the mail every week, with a coupon for 40% off one item, or 5% off your total, stuff like that.

  See if you can find a flyer. I know the one I used last week was 40% off any regular priced item, and there's a 10% off the entire purchase coupon that's good for this weekend in the same flyer.

  Almost always.  I usually google "joann printable coupons"  (or "jo ann") and am almost always able to find some.

  I always pick up a flyer when I go in and it has a 40% coupon but I don't think it is on sale items.
