Success after IF

A flat spot isn't necessarily a bad thing, is it?

Cal has a flat spot on his head, but so do I.  And I slept on my belly and certainly didn't spend much time in a carseat (if you could even call it that!).  Mine's just below the crown of my head; Cal's is a little further down the back of his head.  Don't some people just have a flat spot?  I sure hope so b/c otherwise I should probably be concerned.  His pedi has never said anything...  Nine month visit's coming up; I'll be sure to ask.

Re: A flat spot isn't necessarily a bad thing, is it?

  • I have one and so do my mom and grandma, also just below the crown.  And I was a belly sleeper too and didn't have a car seat.  So, it must be genetic, I think.  As long as his features (ears, eyes, forehead) are symetrical, it's not a bad thing.
