how many poopy diapers should a 1 month old have a day??

my baby will be 1 month tomorrow and it seems like hes pooping too much..he has about 5 or 6 poopy diapers a day...when he went for his 2 week appt the dr said hes doing great ...now if we can just get him to stop pooping so much...is this normal?? i didnt think 5 or 6 was too many??

    my baby will be a month on the 5th and he usually poops with every bottle.  normal??

    My LO used to poop with every feeding and then some..lol.  She did this until 6wks.  She now currently goes 1-3x a day.

    DD had about 5 or 6 bowel movements a day for first month or so but in the last week or so that has dropped to about about 2-3 a day but at least one day for the last week or so has been really explosive. 

    I'm talkin' out of the diaper, up the back, through her outfit and onto her blanket grossness.  Stain removal is now a big part of my life. lol! 

    I wouldn't really worry that your baby is pooping too much.

    Who said the baby should poop less -- you or the doctor? If it was the doctor, that is really odd. It is totally normal. A baby that age should poop a lot -- even after every feeding (which would be 8 to 12 times a day). I think it slows down around 2 months.

    DS poops with almost every feeding so I'd say 5-6 is lucky!!

    THIS!!  LO just turned 2 mos and literally overnight he went from 5 poopy diapers a day to 1 a day that contains all 5 diapers worth of poo!!
